Real Time Bit is an interactive installation originally created for What? Fest. The installation was designed to manipulate user depth data via the Xbox Kinect's infrared camera. Through a script written in the javascript-based program, Processing, bodies in the field of view are transformed into pixelated characters and projected in real time. The pixels are depth-sensitive, changing opacity and color depending on the body's distance from the sensor.
